Nausheen's Essay Strategy:

Essay Strategy:

  1. Collect quotes, examples, poems from topper's copies, conversation with your friends and newspapers. Copy them to your notes and keep revising them.

2. You can also use Ethics examples in Essays.

3. Discuss previous year topics with your friends, I did it with Pratibha and Aditi. It will help you in looking at a topic from a fresh perspective.

4. Time distribution:

20 minutes for planning the pointers. (Wrote 20 points)

1 hr 10 min for writing.

(For one section)

5. Select the topic you are comfortable in, not the topic which you think would be unique in terms of the choice. There are 12 pages in the exam, make sure to use it wisely.

6. I tried to write twenty pointers in a form such that 1 page had two paragraphs which were derived from 2 points of my plan. In this way I wrote 10 pages for an essay topic. However, most of the times the flow of the essay used to become against it.

Also, in the actual exam, in the second topic which was "Girls are weighed down by restrictions, boys with demands – two equally harmful disciplines.", I wrote 12 pages complete.

7. Avoid misinterpretation. During my second attempt, I misinterpreted the topic, "Hand that rocks the cradle rules the world" and ended up scoring 89 marks only. So, be very careful of your choice of the topic. Average content in correctly interpreted topics >>>> best content in a wrongly interpreted one.

9. Also try to write arguments against the topic in about 1/1.5 pages and try to end in a balance with a philosophical conclusion where you imagine a beautiful future.😅

10.You can also use ChatGPT for getting a philosophical interpretation of any topic from the previous year question papers.

11.Below are screenshots of my collection of quotes, poems etc, my test copies and a sample of pointers.
