My daily schedule during Mains preparation:

8a.m.-9 a.m.: Newspaper + Notes

9a.m. -1p.m : Optional

1p.m.-2p.m. -Lunch+ talk with friends

2p.m.- 5p.m.- G.S. Paper.

5p.m.- 6p.m.- Tea Break+ Talking to parents on call.

6p.m.-8p.m.- Answer writing (PYQs). For history optional people, you can give 1-1.5 hour for Map Preparation during this time.

8p.m.- 9p.m.: Dinner

9p.m.-10p.m.: Any other GS Paper./ Topper's copy analysis/Optional answer writing

Initially, I used to study till 10p.m. When the Mains exam was very close, I used to study till 12a.m. at night but then I also shifted my morning time from 8a.m. to 9a.m.

You can also use the time gap of 2p.m to 5p.m. for writing a full length paper.
