Essay and GS Resource List (1/n)
- My Resource List for Mains is primarily the same as my Prelims Resource List. I have added them as a post in the channel (Prelims Strategy (1/n)). In this post, let me add all the things not listed there, which I referred to for Mains.
- Since I had not made extensive, detailed notes like many others, my go to source for content was not books, but other topper’s/friend’s notes, Newspapers and compilations.
- Most of my value addition content were from Newspaper editorials. I had specifically prepared a list of all committees Syllabus wise from various Internet sources
- I had also enrolled for MK Yadav Sir’s QEP program before the CSE 2022 Mains, I collected many data and examples from there. I used these in my CSE 23 Mains also.
- Here are what I referred to, in addition to the Prelims Resource List
- Essay
- Ideas and quotes from Newspaper articles
- Vikram Grewal’s essay notes - from School of Life Youtube channel.
- other quotes/ideas/phrases that I come across, irrespective of the source.
- GS 1
- Made a separate Note on the topic women from various sources.
- No Mains notes for Modern, Art and Culture or Geography, but practised questions on them. Revision was from textbooks themselves.
- GS 2
- Prepared notes on SHG, NGOs from Mridul Shivhare Sir’s notes.
- IR from a friend who prepared notes from the internet and supplemented it with info from MEA website, Twitter handles of important dignitaries, researchers etc.
- Health and Education base material from QEP content.
- GS 3
- Disaster Management from Mridul Shivhare’s notes.
- Internal Security notes from a friend.
- No detailed notes for other topics of the syllabus, but made value added content from Newspapers.
- GS 4
- Class-notes of Ethics+ course from Forum, which I enrolled after clearing CSP 23’.
- Examples that I collected from Newspaper and other random sources.
- Other resources : I used the internet extensively during preparation, and it is impossible to add all the websites and apps I had used in this single post. Sunya IAS data compilations, ONLY IAS compilations were of great use, especially for data and factoids for CSM.
