Booklist and other sources- I have already mentioned about my current affairs sources. Here mostly sticking to Static and Pre subjects.
Polity-M. Lakshmikant
Economy- Nitin Singhania
Geography- NCERTs 11th and 12th grade along with my notes from Byju’s classes. GC leong for a few topics
History- Ancient History: RS Sharma, Medieval History : Satish Chandra, Modern history Bipin Chandra and Spectrum
Art and culture- Nitin Singhania but selectively. Other than that for Buddhism Jainism I did watch videos and made extra notes since they were important topics.
IR- Vision IAS document
Environment- Had to use a bit of scattered sources because I didn’t find one book that was comprehensive.
1. Shankar IAS for Acts and policies, International Conventions, Climate change, Environmental organisations
2. I had made notes of Basic terms from sectional tests of Environment of vision as i was short on time.
3. Got a lot of help from Shivin sir regarding the same, few pdfs which were relevant.
4. Comprehensively did 2 years PT 365
Science and tech-
To clear my concepts regarding space and related topics watched Byju’s videos made short notes. Other than that mostly nothing other than PT 365.
Other than books-
I have extensively used internet to search terms and read about them. I would simply type the topic and then upsc. Mostly read a lot from Drishti’s website.
Youtube has been another great source to understand any concept.
I had barely made notes before Pre. To be honest, I have not liked making notes since my MBBS times and so it was a given, but this gave me an opportunity to re read the books and concepts from wherever I liked. I would like to believe that helped in prelims.
