4. Brief Introduction about me:
I’m K N Chandana Jahnavi. I was born in Bengaluru and lived most of my life in Hyderabad.
As my father was a software engineer, I lived abroad in the US and post that in Singapore before coming back to Hyderabad and starting school here since 5th standard.
I’ve done Chemical Engineering in BIT Mesra (2013-17) which was based on JEE Mains Rank. Post that, I got into IIM Indore based on CAT and Interview scores. (2017-19)
I took my campus placement which was in Deloitte ( one of the Big 4) and that is where I started my preparation ( May 31st 2019).
Initial preparation plan was to work in Delhi with doing foundation course and prepare simultaneously.
But as fate would have it, I had to move back to Hyderabad based on project allocation and that is where I did my major prep
DISCLOSURE 1 for 2019:
I enrolled in a Hyderabad based Analog IAS for foundation course which was early morning + weekend batch for working professionals. (5-9 AM and full day weekends)
I took Sociology Online Course of IAS Gurukul
Also bought Vision IAS Prelims and Mains test series of 35 tests each.
I did all of this because of financial stability and also lack of specific guidance at that point and do not recommend anything to aspirants.
I did none of visions tests in 2019 as it took major part to just read basic material
MORAL: Do not buy tests immediately. You need 7-8 months before hand preparation
Because of work hours, I was mostly irregular to classes and COVID ensured that I did nothing from arrival of 2020.
MORAL: Do not commit when there is no certainty on work schedules. That was money wasted as per me.
However there were certain faculty who did help me with some doubts.
Sociology is one thing I religiously did and used to watch videos in my Deloitte lunch break in 1.5x and make notes on office laptop. This was because of interest and Pranay Aggarwal Sir made the subject easy to understand.
I will be sharing notes from here and this was my foundation for all three attempts.
