2. ANALYSIS OF SCORES

My analysis of my marksheets:

1. Constant improvement in General Studies

1st attempt: 376

2nd attempt : 416

3rd attempt: 427

2. Consistency in my option to hover in 278-284 range over all 3 attempts. This is despite my efforts to try do maximum value addition possible

3. Essay score variation from 128 in first attempt to 116 in last attempt. This is one area, I have not been able to decode because I believe I did my best all three times even if scores speak otherwise

4. PT: I improved my marks in my later attempts after I shed my IIM driven/ corporate oriented interview style to a specific UPSC style personality test where there is prescribed syllabus on what is being tested.

5. Being prepared for the inevitable. In all three attempts, I did not get anything as I expected- good surprises and bad shocks.

What can be done is to be prepared for the bad and the ugly as we mostly manage dealing with what is good
