In this:
- See the template given of 8 things to do with an essay and blend it in essay in a way that it feels normal
2. There are notes of 5-6 books I have seen in topper essays
3. Way of Brainstorming
4. Flow of essay “ You cannot step twice in same river” as told from Shabbir Sir
This is assisted brainstorming in GS Score of my 2nd attempt on specific GS like topic: 1. Should students indulge in campus politics
2. At his best, man is noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice, he is worst.interpretation
I recommend people to take the template, or edit the template, collate ideas and write an essay on it
My ideas are not too good, please write your own from scratch. This is merely a template
this is something I did for improving my marks :)
My batchmate in ICLS, Sreejith JR told me to use my book reading hobby for essay and ethics answers and for my 3rd attempt, I made a list of names of books which I glanced before essay and GS IV.
If you’ve read books, make a list of them and in the exam, you are bound to get 1-2 ideas from those books.
Again, nothing way too much
Need a balance always. I was mindful of balancing ideas from books with other things also- GS studies, Newspapers, our own experiences 😄
I’m uploading few mind maps or brainstorming I did- all of it in my 2023 attempt
Use it if it helps- Build on it with own examples
DISCLAIMER- I got only 116 and none of my essays are good. All of them are average. My intention is to show what I did to improvise my score from 85 to 116
There this Vikram Grewal Sir’s essay that I made a crisp map on to understand how he ensured flow and kept it engaging.
This was a topic of 2023 and a lot of people who read his mock essay were able to reproduce some ideas from this essay! Talk about luck 😄
Also, Vikram Sir’s mock essay and made crisp note of ideas and flow for my own sake.
Point is to see how he organises thoughts. I wanted to replicate this in my essays. Needs a lot of practice
My suggestion: first take a topic of mock essay of topper; write down your ideas ( Organised or unorganised) and then see their essay to see how their essay flows.
For people who need writing practice, the case will be to write your own essay and get someone to compare your essay with topper on counts of flow, organised ideas, balance and crispness
