Test Marks vs Actual Prelims Marks
As prelims is just one month away, one common query aspirants always have is: "Will my prelims test marks be replicated in the actual UPSC prelims?"
The answer is a big NO!
I am someone who has attempted countless tests. In my first attempt, in one of the open tests I took, I scored barely 45 marks! In the 55-page result they published, my name appeared after page 30.
A young Nandanaa was very anxious and tense, wondering how I could possibly clear the cutoff when prelims was just a month away.
But guess what? That year, I scored 91 marks — 15 marks above the cutoff!
I have also attended Vision Abhyaas for the past two years, but I have never crossed 50 marks in any of the 6 tests I attempted.
In short, there is no need to get tensed about the marks you get in test series.
Instead:
- Start revising your basic content, especially highly repeated themes and low-hanging fruits.
2. Apply common sense and logic.
3.Be confident in the exam hall.
All the best!
You can do it❤️
