A common query regarding Notes Making -
Q- How to make notes?
A- First, You should see whether making notes is absolutely necessary in the first place. It depends on subject to subject. For eg- In polity, Lakshmikant is in notes form itself. So, there is no point to make notes again. Rather, mark in book itself.
My strategy is -
1) Make notes on only topics for which there are multiple sources such as book, web
2) Include only keywords in notes
3) Don't look for perfection in notes
4) revise your notes again and again
5) Don't just copy paste things, apply some logic and reasoning
6) Be concise, psychologically, It is easy to revise less bulky material
This is for GS. For optional, strategy is different.
Here is a sample of keyword-form notes for Prelims Current Affairs. I made these notes around 2 months before prelims. Then, Revise them again and again. Keywords help me to revise in few hours before prelims.
This is just to guide all the aspirants for upcoming prelims to strategize their preparation in the right direction.
