TEST SERIES -

ESSAY- I hadn't written any essay before prelims 2023.

What I did is I went through a lot of topper essays to understand the use of anecdotes, examples, flow and dimensions in the essay.

I had joined Shubhra Ranjan Essay program where I wrote 3 essays (out of which 2 essay topics got evaluated, scoring 60+ in individual essay each). Rest I wrote 3-4 more essays and sent them to one of my friends for review.

I had also joined Vision Abhyaas in which I scored 117 in essay.

GS-

I had joined Forum IAS Cohort 13 (Alt) where I could write only 7 tests (all sectional). You may access these on Forum IAS website.

Further, Vision Abhyaas helped me in timely execution of GS papers.

PSIR OPTIONAL-

SR crash course test series where I wrote 4 sectionals. Here again I couldn't write FLTs.

Benefits of test series-

1. Just see if you are being able to complete the paper on time with adequate content, maps, data, etc.

2. Do not get into evaluation process and all. But try to get your papers evaluated so that you may take out points where you need to work in real examination.

3. Specially in optional, the quality of questions is good in SR test series, if not evaluation. So please write the tests with special focus on pyq themes. Take note of model answers provided.
