Ethics over the years, has evolved into being lengthy, tougher and analytical nature of questions and typical case studies. The variability in marking has also been high.

Sources that I used

  1. Decode book

2. Atul sir ke printed notes

Value addition was done from toppers notes such as

  1. Shubham kumar sir

2. Mehak Jain mam

3. Divyanshu Nigam sir and few others

Mainly, the preparation hinges on collecting

  1. Basic definitions of each keyword mentioned in the syllabus

2. Illustrations / flow diagrams

3. Quotes /shlokas/proverbs etc

And last but not the least

4. Examples

Examples in ethics comprise the soul of the answer. Infact, a good example is equivalent to writing 5 sentences of explanation.

For example, if asked a question on mental Fortitude, giving the example of Rahul Dravid illustrates it perfectly

Similarly, MS Dhoni for emotional intelligent, EQ related questions.

Examples should be diverse, well thought of and multiple in number.

Rather than depending upon the ready made examples list, curate your own list. The efforts pay off.

Case studies

  1. Atul sir ki solved case studies ki booklet

2. Forumias ki toolkit

3. India bhai sir ke ethics se related tips

Combining all of the above, Ethics paper can be tackled well.

Few general tips

  1. Focus on writing what is exactly asked. If stakeholders are not asked, one need not write. Template based approach is not required.

2. Focus on completing the paper. This year, it did make a difference. And paper can be completed by following point no #1 above.

3. Own efforts : examples, notes etc. Relying on ready made notes will not be fruitful. Work hard for ethics.

4. Simplicity in answers is the key. Yes, do bring in ethical theories without sophisticating the answer. This requires practice.

And somewhere I read on telegram : If you uphold integrity, integrity will uphold you.

Follow this in every answer and you'll do great.
